Therapeutic support
Therapy at Strathmore Kids Psychology is intentional and moves at your pace. Sessions look different for every family and might include a blend of play-based learning/therapy for younger children, counselling-style conversation for older children, and parent coaching/support. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing is a focus for children with multiple healthcare professionals, with school consultation and skill-building offered as needed.
Families reach out to psychologists for support to answer a range of questions, including how to support their child's:
development
social and emotional wellbeing
behaviour
education and learning
neurodivergence (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning difficulties)
Sessions are available online and face-to-face.
You do not need a referral from your GP or paediatrician to access Strathmore Kids Psychology. We can provide support and guidance to help you understand different funding structures, including Medicare rebates, carer's allowance, NDIS, and school funding.
