Assessments

An assessment is a helpful starting point for families who want to understand their child's development, learning and wellbeing. Assessments can help answer questions about:

  • whether your child is reaching developmental milestones as expected

  • whether your child is neurodivergent (autistic or ADHD)

  • your child's strengths and weaknesses as a learner and whether your child is learning at their full potential

Answering these questions can help identify which supports will be most helpful, and in some cases help us understand the underlying factors that might lead your child to experience anxiety, avoidance or emotional escalations.

We are currently taking referrals for our assessment clinic, with a wait-time of less than 2 months. A referral is not required to access Strathmore Kids, however a paediatrician can activate medicare rebates if you are seeking an autism assessment.
