Families seek assessments to explore a variety of questions about their child's cognitive development, learning and wellbeing. 

Assessments can help answer questions about:

• whether your child is reaching developmental milestones as expected

• whether your child is neurodivergent (autistic or ADHD)

• your child's strengths and weaknesses as a learner and whether your child is learning at their full potential

Answering these questions can help identify which supports will be most helpful, and in some cases help us understand the underlying factors that might lead your child to experience anxiety, avoidance or emotional escalations. 

We are currently taking referrals for our assessment clinic, with a wait-time of less than 2 months. You do not need to have a referral from your GP or paediatrician to access Strathmore Kids, however it may be helpful to explore medicare rebates that may be available to you.
